9th District Commander’s Report
We just got done with Halloween, and now it is on to November. I hope that all posts and communities did something special for Veterans Day. I know that there are several restaurants that offered free dinners for all veterans.
8th District Commander’s Report
The Legionville committee met in October. The financial situation could be a lot better. Each of the districts was tasked with donating $5,000 throughout their district. As many of you know, supporting Legionville was one of my projects for the year. We are partway to the goal.
7th District Commander’s Report
I’ve been doing a little bit of traveling to a few posts membership dinners, some officer installations, looking forward to visit more of our posts and learn some more ideas of what other people are doing to grow their membership. And help their fellow veterans in need.
6th District Commander’s Report
Well, another Department of Minnesota Fall Conference is in the books. It was so good to see many new faces attending. Many classes were given, which means many opportunities to learn new things. Also, it means many of you shared issues and questions you had.
3rd District Commander’s Report
Veterans, Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion, we are coming into a season where temperatures are dropping. The leaves are falling from the trees. The world seems a little darker.

Happy Veterans Day! I hope everyone had a day filled with reflection on their own military career, thanks to others that served, and gratitude for the great country we get to call home.

I hadn’t been at the Fall Conference in 12 years. It was great to touch bases with old friends and make new ones.

Pederson-Tripp Post 357 of Ashby has endorsed Dean Knutson for the office of department chaplain for the 2026-27 membership year.
