7th District Commander’s March-April 2025 Report

Greetings from the 7th District:

This past month has been busy with a number of different things and the 7th District is going well. The applications for Boys State and Girls State are out and our posts are making their choices on who to send.

I believe that Legionville registration has opened for this coming year, and our Junior Shooting club will be participating in the first ever American Legion State shoot in Anoka on March 8. The 7th District had our Oratorical Contest, and we have a strong candidate that I believe will do very good at the state level.

Unfortunately, as I write this I do not know if she won the state contest, but we should know by the time this article goes to print. Our district membership is holding strong, and we are making the goals set by national, but like everyone else this is our slow time of the year for membership renewals, but we are working hard to keep meeting our goals.
