MINNEAPOLIS — U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins, toured the Minneapolis VA Medical Center on Tuesday, May 13. The visit included a leadership briefing with Medical Center leadership, the VISN23 Deputy Network Director and Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Brad Lindsay.

This has been a year of learning more about the memorial flower, the poppy. In World War I the poppy came to symbolize the bloodshed by those who fought and those who continue to fight for our country.
Department Junior Conference was fun
The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota 61st Annual Department Junior Conference was held on Saturday, April 12, hosted by the 10th District at the Anoka Post 102. Honorary Department Junior President Teriana Richards did an outstanding job of running the conference.

Please make sure your unit filled out the impact report with the volunteer hours and dollar amounts that are requested on the report form. If you have pictures of any events, please include them as an attachment to your report. Wouldn’t it be great to see your unit featured on the big screen at Department Convention?
