Has your unit sponsored a blood drive this year? According to the American Red Cross, someone needs blood every 2 seconds in the United States. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses and traumatic injuries.

According to the 1925 Americanism Commission of The American Legion, “Americanism is a term of vast, significance. In its large conception, it embraces every phase of an individual’s relation to the community, state and nation.”
President: On membership, legislation and Sweetheart Rally
February is Americanism month, and the Sweetheart Rally will be Feb. 3 in Forest Lake at Post 39. It is a luncheon, membership rally and is hosted by the Auxiliary for all The American Legion Family.

Come to the Sweetheart Rally
FOREST LAKE — The Sweetheart Rally happens Saturday, Feb. 3, at Forest Lake Post 225 and promises to be a good get-together. Social hour and membership turn-in are at 11 a.m. Lunch is at noon with a program to follow.
