Hear National Commander Dan Wiley speak during tour of Minnesota
ST. PAUL — This year, the National Commander’s Tour of Minnesota takes place April 19-23. The tour is open to Legion Family members, their supporters and the general public.
Service to the community never ends
As the new year begins, our community service efforts continue right alongside it. The needs of veterans, families and our communities don’t pause with the season, and the steady work being done by our members continues to make a real difference.

Hooray for Auxiliary units that have hit 100 percent mark
The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota has 20,029 paid memberships as of Jan. 28, which is 80.48 percent of our goal of 24,888.
Minnesota Girls State deadline is April 1
American Legion Auxiliary Minnesota Girls State 79th session is June 14-19 at Bethel University in Arden Hills.

BLOOMINGTON —The Minnesota American Legion Auxiliary is scheduled to meet at 8:30 a.m. March 14 in the conference room at Bloomington Post 550.
President: Fill out unit annual reports by April 15
This administrative year is flying by and with visiting units I have been able to hear the work that our members at the unit level do for our veterans, military and their families, and the work within their communities. I thank all unit members and ask that you take the time to fill out your unit annual reports this year due April 15.

Joint testimonial dinner is coming in June
NEW PRAGUE — The date for the Joint Testimonial Dinner for both the department commander and president has been determined.
Appreciation Rally is set for March 14
BLOOMINGTON — The Appreciation Rally is March 14 at Bloomington’s Veterans Club, a post home Post 550 shares with VFW Post 1296. It is at 311 W. 84th St., behind the Lyndale Avenue Cub Foods. Look for the Huey helicopter out front.
It is nearly time for the gift shops
VA&R is probably the Auxiliary program that touches the lives of our veterans and military and their families the most. It is also one of the American Legion’s Four Pillars. It is an important reason we exist — to support our veterans and our military.
Kelly endorsed for department president
Linda Kelly has been endorsed by Unit 184 of Pine Island for Department of Minnesota president for 2026-2027.
