St. Charles Post 190 wins Div. II Jr. state title
HAYFIELD — St. Charles Post 190 defeated Montevideo VFW Post 380 by a score of 4-2 to capture the championship trophy in the Minnesota American Legion Baseball Div. II Jr. State Tournament in Hayfield.
Minnesota teams bounced out at regional tournament
FARGO — The Carpetland Rugs of Lincoln, Neb., Post 500 will represent the Central Plains region in the American Legion World Series. The baseball team defeated the West Fargo Patriots 6-3 in the Central Plains Regional Tournament championship game Sunday.
Ryder Peace wins Wannamaker Award
ST. MICHAEL — While the focus of the Minnesota Division I American Legion Baseball Tournament was securing the team title, members of the Post 2 team from Shakopee were pleased to have one of their own, outfielder Ryder Peace, as the Fred Wannamaker Award winner.

ELY — In the Minnesota American Legion Baseball Div. II Sr. State Tournament, New London-Spicer Posts 537 & 545 won the title by a score of 8-1 against Montevideo Post 59.
Burnsville wins the championship at the Div. I Jr. State Tournament
BLOOMINGTON — The Burnsville Post 1700 Junior Rattlers took home the trophy in the Minnesota American Legion Baseball Div. I Jr. State Tournament at Red Haddox Field on Sunday, Aug. 3.
Fairmont Post 36 took home the Legion Softball title
FAIRMONT — Fairmont Post 36 not only hosted the Minnesota American Legion Fastpitch Softball State Tournament, but they won it, too.
