I just returned from Camp Ripley for the annual gathering of our National Security/Foreign Relations Committee meeting with my fellow district commanders and district NS/FR chairs.

I have been busy attending or planning for many functions including Camporee, the SAL Deer Hunt, the National Security Conference and open house and museum groundbreaking at Camp Ripley.

At the present time, the commander is on temporary leave in Colorado. The functions of the 8th still continue.

President: We need veterans to help make poppies
We are in great need of veterans who would like to earn a stipend by making our poppies. We have a shortage of helping hands and only a veteran can receive the stipend.
