Department Commander’s Project is at 114 percent

Spicer Post 545 donated $500 to Department Commander Paul Hassing’s Project, Minnesota Veterans Assistance Fund.

Department Commander Paul Hassing’s Project has surpassed the goal of $100,000. He hopes to keep the fundraising effort rolling.

To donate to the Department Commander Project, make the check out to Minnesota American Legion Foundation, and put “Fund 82” or “Fund 85” in the memo. Fund 82 each year is the Commander’s Project. Fund 85 is the Minnesota Veterans Assistance Fund. Mail the check to American Legion Department of Minnesota, 20 W. 12th St. Room 300A, St. Paul, MN 55155.

The foundation is a 501c3 organization. Gambling funds are permitted.

Anyone wishing to contribute online, they can click here and enter the fund in the memo.

With the Minnesota Veterans Assistance Fund, all proceeds go toward the cause. Nothing is spent on administration or overhead. It is a fund that helps veterans after they have exhausted all other resources and avenues of aid.
