It is one hunt I will never forget — from the guides assisting in the awesome eight deer stands to the ATV drivers dropping us off and picking us up.
Commander: Americanism is more than waving flags
Thank you to all who attended the Fall Conference. The turnout was outstanding, the speakers and classes were great, and I hope everyone learned a lot! If you have comments or would like to see other subjects taught at the Fall Conference, please let me know.
SAL Commander: The calendar is filling up fast
These past few months have been interesting. I went to my first SAL National Convention in a while. I got to go to Tampa Fla.

I would like to offer a prayer for all those who will be in duck blinds, tree stands for deer and bear hunting, and my favorite — the elusive ring-necked pheasant.

Chaplain: On the one-dimensional consumer lens
’Tis spring cleaning and garage sale season. Items are sold or donated that no longer serve us. Good deals are aplenty.
The busiest Legion season is kicking in
I hope everyone had a chance to honor and remember our fellow veterans who have retired to the Post Everlasting on this recent Memorial Day. Peggy and I attended the program at Fort Snelling and afterwards the program at the Minneapolis Veterans Home. These are always very moving events.
