SAL Commander: The calendar is filling up fast

These past few months have been interesting. I went to my first SAL National Convention in a while. I got to go to Tampa Fla.
It was fun, but the drive down, not so much.
While in Tampa, I got to attend a detachment commander training class after finishing. I got to go up on stage to get my certificate of completion, then I had another not-so-fun drive back home to Minnesota.
I attended the Camporee. Went to the Osseo Post 172 omelet breakfast to support the American Legion Riders. I got an invitation to go to Becker Post 193 for its fall benefit dance on Sept. 27.
Fall Conference is in St. Cloud and our national vice commander from Nebraska will be attending. I would like to see as many people there as possible. Helping Paws will be there. It is my project for the year. I would like to raise $70,000 for two dogs to help veterans with PTSD.
Please donate by giving to Minnesota American Legion Foundation and put “Fund 99” in the memo. Fund 99 is the SAL Commander’s Project.
The check can be mailed to Minnesota American Legion Foundation, 20 W. 12th St. Room 300A, St. Paul, MN 55155.
My calendar is filling up fast. If you would like me to attend anything please let me or let my adjutant know.
Jeremy Copher of Minnetonka Squadron 398 (in Mound) is the commander of the Sons of The American Legion Detachment of Minnesota.
