Plainview Post 179 celebrates 100th birthday of Korean War veteran

On Feb. 2, Plainview Post 179 celebrated the 100th birthday of Leonard Wilde. Wilde was born on Feb. 4, 1925, and is an Army veteran of the Korean War. He has been a member of The American Legion for 71 years. Wilde was presented with a Certificate of Recognition by Department Commander Carl Moon. More than 300 people attended the open reception. Wilde’s sash says, “100 Never Looked So Good!”
