Peggy Moon endorsed for alternate NECman

Peggy Moon has been endorsed for alternate NECman by Kriesel-Jacobsen Post 560 in Zimmerman and the 6th District of Minnesota for the years 2025-2027.

Moon has been a member of Post 560 for 48 years and was awarded a life membership by her Post in 1997. She has served as commander, adjutant, chaplain and was on the Post 560 Honor Guard. She served in the Air Force 1971-1974.

On the district level, Moon served as commander, vice commander, public relations chairman, children and youth chairman, and currently serves as commander’s advisor.

On the department level, Moon has served as employment chairman, PR chairman, children and youth chairman and vice commander. She served as membership chairman 2009-2010 and commander 2014-2015.

On the national level, she currently serves as our alternate NECman, vice president for the Child Well-Being Foundation Board of Directors (formerly known as the Child Welfare Foundation) and as vice-chairman of the Children & Youth Council.

She and her husband, Carl, have been married for 50 years, have two daughters and six grandchildren, all members of The American Legion Family.
