Past commander makes her goal

It was a $1,000 donation from the next commander’s post that put Jennifer Havlick over the top. Paul Hassing belongs to Bloomington Post 550.

REDWOOD FALLS — Jennifer Havlick made her goal for the Department Commander’s Project just before she had to hand over the gavel on July 15.

Donations of $1,000 each from Bloomington Post 550, Zimmerman Post 560 and Lonsdale Post 586 pushed her over the target figure of $60,000. Her total as of press time was $61,410.

She will divide the total among the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Project Delta and Eagle’s Healing Nest. Tunnels to Towers provides mortgage-free smart homes to disabled veterans. Delta trains dogs for veterans, and Eagle’s Healing Nest aids veterans with invisible wounds of war.
