Osseo Post 172 to host VA suicide-prevention training

OSSEO — Veterans and supporters of veterans from all across the state are welcome to come to Osseo-Maple Grove Post 172 on Thursday, Nov. 30, for suicide prevention training.

As a bonus, wings will be provided to attendees. There is no fee to attend.

The training will be the VA S.A.V.E. program. It runs from 5 to 6 p.m. The acronym stands for:

Signs of suicidal thinking should be recognized.

Ask the most important question of all.

Validate the Veteran’s experience.

Encourage treatment and expedite getting help.
