Our great country turns 250 years old on July 4, and we are going to celebrate all year long with our members.
We will be bringing together our current members, past members and of course new members. The goal is to get to 100 percent. Where do I look, who do I ask, and how do I get members to sign up?
All excellent questions. We need to look in everyday places that you may not have thought to look at before. The best line when you are meeting someone new is “Do you have anyone in your family who has or is serving in the military? Start the conversation. Tell them about the great programs we work and how we support our veterans. If you had someone that was eligible at one time but wasn’t ready to join, try asking them again, maybe things have changed in their life. Remember to ASK!

National Poppy Day
I am excited to see us work together in Legion Family style as we gain new members. We can do this! I am looking forward to being able to encourage and motivate the members! Let’s have a fun year as we play together! There will be a lottery drawing at each of the rallies, the units that have reached the goal for the rally by the end of membership turn in will be placed in the drawing for $75. (One winner per rally.)
