Mail Call: It’s been an honor to serve Minnesota

First of all, I would like to say “thank you” for all of the many cards, gifts, blankets, flowers and prayers given to me over the past nine months. They must have worked because I’m getting stronger each day.

You have all truly made a difference in my recovery, and I am very thankful for my American Legion Family.

Unfortunately, it’s going to take a while to get my stamina back, and I have come to the realization that I need to take some time to concentrate on my health.

For this reason, I have decided to not run for another term as your Alternate National Executive Committeeman. I have enjoyed the last six years, and it has been an honor to serve the Department of Minnesota in this capacity.
