Luverne Veterans Home to mark 30 years

LUVERNE — The Luverne Veterans Home is celebrating a birthday.

The state-run nursing home for veterans is hosting an open house on June 7 to mark its 30th anniversary. There will be tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a lunch between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with a program at 1 p.m.

The public is invited.

Parking will be available in the back parking lot and across the street at the American Reformed Church. A shuttle service will be available.

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs owns and operates the Luverne Veterans Home, as well as seven other veterans homes in the state of Minnesota.
