Hassing endorsed for 1st vice president

Tenth District Past Presidents Parley and Bloomington Unit 550 proudly endorses Jody Hassing for the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota 1st vice president for 2026-27.

She is eligible for membership through her husband, Paul Hassing, past commander of American Legion Department of Minnesota, retired with 32 years of service in the Army Reserve.

Hassing has been an active member of Bloomington Unit 550 for 18 years. She held many positions and is currently serving as president.

At the district level, Hassing has held several chairmanships including Servicemen Center, Poppy, National Security, Membership, Executive Committee and treasurer. She also served as 2nd vice president, 1st vice president, and 10th District president 2017-2018.

At the department level, Hassing served as secretary, Finance Committee member for four years, and finance chairman 2023-24. Jody is currently serving as department 2nd vice president and legislation chairman.

Hassing is also an active member of the American Legion Riders.

Jody is married to Paul Hassing. They have five children, and 10 grandchildren. All are members of the American Legion Family. She has been employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota for 16 years and is a principal business analyst in medical management.
