Dvorak endorsed for department commander
Linda M. Dvorak has been endorsed by Charles Borak Post 45, New Prague, and the 3rd District for the office of Department of Minnesota commander for 2025-2026.
Dvorak has been a PUFL member for over 22 years. She has held various positions within Post 45, including adjutant, finance officer, membership director and commander. She is a current member of the American Legion/Park Ballroom Board of Directors/Board of Trustees, a member of the New Prague Veterans Color/Honor Guard and the New Prague Veterans Memorial Committee.
At the district level, Dvorak was the adjutant 2013-2019, 2021-present, membership director 2018-2019 and commander 2019-2021. She has held the following positions at the department level: membership director 2022-2023, Oratorical Contest chairman, and Oratorical vice chairman, chairman of the Internal Affairs Ad Hoc Committee and has been a member of the Department Training Committee since 2019, serving as the chairman.
Dvorak has been a delegate to 13 consecutive national conventions. She has been a member of the National Security Committee since 2023 and currently serves on the National Aerospace Committee. She is a 2022 graduate of American Legion National Legion College. She completed American Legion Basic Training in July 2020. She is a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 45 in New Prague, a life member of the DAV, a member of the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Military & Veterans Museum and an active member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Dvorak served 27 years in the Air Force/Air National Guard, retiring from active duty in 2002. She has an AA degree in educational systems technology from the Community College of the Air Force. She retired in 2019 after 15 years as a special assistant to senior leadership within the Minnesota Air National Guard.
