Dedications planned for 3 new veterans homes

MONTEVIDEO — The three new Minnesota Veterans Homes are completed, and, finally, all the summer schedules for elected officials and civic leaders have aligned, allowing the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs to announce dedication ceremonies.

The dedication of the new Montevideo Veterans Home is Friday, May 31. Social hour and live music begin at 10 a.m., with the program starting at 11 a.m. Montevideo Post 59 will be open for lunch after the program.

The dedication program for the new Preston Veterans Home is at 3 p.m. June 27, with a social hour and self-guided tours beforehand.

The dedication for the new Bemidji Veterans Home is July 1. The program is set for 1 to 2 p.m., with self-guided tours to follow.
