Counselor: Meet Minnesota’s future leaders at Boys State

Enrollment numbers for the 2026 session of Minnesota’s American Legion Boys State are growing!

We look forward to meeting the seniors-to-be at St. John’s University in June. As participants in the multifaceted program, we believe the young men will be capable of engaging in local forms of government when they return home.

This could show itself in questions asked at school board meetings, church council meetings, city meetings, county meetings, being a representative on the student council, campaigning for office, or helping others campaign for office.

Enhancement of leadership skills will show up on athletic teams, fine arts opportunities, and in the classroom. Military academies and private and public educational institutions crave Boys State alumni on their campuses.
