Come to the Department Convention

The 9th District Band was present on the final day of the convention to provide patriotic music.

WILLMAR — Please join the Minnesota American Legion Auxiliary at the 106th Department Convention being held July 9-11 at the Willmar Conference Center.

Prior to the Convention, the Department Executive Committee will meet Wednesday, July 9 at a time to be determined later.

Auxiliary district caucuses will take place on both Thursday and Friday mornings at 8:15 a.m. The convention sessions will begin at 9:15 a.m.

Installation of 2026-27 Officers 11 a.m.

The following members have been endorsed for

Department office:

  • Department President: Linda Kelly, Pine Island Unit 184
  • Department 1st Vice President: Jody Hassing, Bloomington Unit 550
  • Department 2nd Vice: President: Hope Wilson, Brandon Unit 278

Nominations will be on Thursday morning. When there is more than one candidate nominated, elections will take place by balloting.

There will also be nominations for delegates at-large to the National Convention.
