ALR Director: Fund 85 Run changes and saves lives

Hello, Legion Family!

This year has gone by so fast! I can’t believe that the Fund 85 Run is in the final stages of planning and is fast approaching. The kickoff party will be July 23 at the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225.

Social will begin at 4 p.m., dinner will be at 6 p.m. and the program will start at 7 p.m. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Country Inn & Suites in Forest Lake.

Thursday evening, we will be staying in McGregor, and a block of rooms is available at the Crossroads.  Friday evening, we will stay in Walker; there is a block of rooms at the Walker Hotel and at the Walker Inn.  On Saturday we will finish the run in Paynesville at approximately 5 p.m. There is a block of rooms at the Paynesville Inn & Suites.

The Mission/Legacy Run will be hosted by Walker American Legion Riders on Aug. 16.  There is a block of rooms at the Walker Hotel and at the Walker Inn. The details will be posted on Facebook and on our website: www.mnalr.org.

The American Legion Department Convention will be July 10-12 in Willmar. The MNALR will at the same location on Friday, July 11, at 4:30 pm.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend the MNALR Convention. We look forward to hearing and seeing everyone. Please remember all motions must originate from one of the district representatives or MNALR department officers and only those same individuals are allowed to vote.

I hope by now each of the chapters in the state has sent in the Chapter Consolidated Report to our secretary at [email protected].  I am looking forward to sharing all we have done this year with The American Legion.
