Registration is open for Legionville summer camp

The Minnesota State Patrol flies one of its patrol choppers to Legionville, much to the delight of campers.

BRAINERD — Registration is open for Legionville summer camp.

The registration fee for campers is $550. Fees typically are paid by parents or a sponsor, such as the Legion post, a service club, schools or other organization.

Visit legionville.org to register. Legionville President Carl Moon suggests hanging signs around the post home saying the post will pay to send kids to camp if they attend Legionville.

Moon said remind your community that your post will pay for kids ages 8-13 to attend summer camp if they attend Legionville north of Brainerd. Register at legionville.org.

Legionville is not just a camp for crossing guard instruction. You don’t have to be a crossing guard to go, Moon said. It offers safety lessons in many areas while have fun. Many campers ;ater report that it was the best camp they ever experienced.
