Hello, my fellow veteran family and friends.

I am humbled by the amazing difference I see The American Legion make in people’s lives. Whether it be the new veteran raising their hand to serve this country or the 100-year-old veteran. The American Legion has home for every one of them and their family.  The Legion was key not only in the formation of the G.I. Bill and the VA benefits to the last step of a veterans life their burial with military honors. The Legion is there for the community they serve in and this great nation.

One of the wonderful things about The American Legion is we all follow the same four pillars, yet every post has the ability to focus their efforts on what fits their membership and community.

In Minnesota, we have Legionville, an amazing place where youth can learn safety from school buses, firearms, water and so many other things. It is done with collaboration from the Minnesota State Patrol.

The camp is also host to Jr. Auxiliary gatherings, the Riders Romp and sometimes get-togethers for the full Minnesota Legion Family, plus the SAL deer and turkey hunts. These events are a great opportunity to meet others, share experiences and learn about how the Legion has touched their lives and also how we can help each other.

I encourage everyone that if you get the opportunity to go to Legionville, go. If you know of a youth looking for a fun summer activity, send them to Legionville.

I strive to help support my community, the American Legion if there’s anything I can do for you please reach out.
