Hope Wilson

Hope Wilson has been endorsed for the position of 2nd vice president of the American Legion Auxiliary by Unit 278 in Brandon and the 7th District Executive Committee. She is eligible for membership through her husband, Carl Wilson, past commander for the 7th District.

Throughout her Auxiliary service, Wilson has held numerous leadership roles at every level of the organization. Her experience includes unit co-president, unit president, membership chairman and Girls State chairman. At the District level, she has served as legislative chairman, membership chairman, parliamentarian, 1st and 2nd vice president and president.

At the department level, Wilson served as membership chairman and is currently poppy chairman.

Wison’s tireless work to grow membership, mentor future leaders, and elevate youth-focused programs such as Girls State and the Junior Shooting Program has left a lasting impact across the organization.

Hope and Carl have been married for 10 years and share a beautiful, blended family of four children — three sons and a daughter. They are proud grandparents to three grandchildren. Hope devotes herself full-time to what she loves most: her husband Carl, their 7th District Junior Shooting Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
