8th District Commander’s Report

Greetings from the Legionnaires and Legion Family of the 8th District!

We have been busy working on membership this past month. Thank you to everyone who has helped us toward our goal of increasing our number of district members. It is appreciated. We were tasked with increasing the district membership by 36 members this year, and we are partway there. If you have any questions or need help, please reach out to our district membership director or to me.

As of this writing, we are still looking for a district chaplain. If anyone is interested in doing this, please let me or the adjutant know. We would like to fill this position. We are also looking for three members to serve on the Finance Committee. Again, if anyone is interested, contact me or the adjutant.

We are still looking for any post interested in hosting the District Mid-Winter Conference on Jan. 24, 2026, and the District Convention on June 6, 2026. If a post is interested in hosting either of these events, contact me or the adjutant.

The Department Fall Conference is scheduled for Oct. 23-25. If anyone is interested in attending, get your registration sent in soon. See Page 2 for details. We’d like to see more of our district membership there!

I am always willing to come to your post for a visit, whether it’s to help you with something, or just to visit to share ideas. If you would like me to come to your post, reach out to me, and we’ll work out a time to visit. We can make our district better if we work together to make it so. I wish all of you the best.
