Montevideo Riders, SAL and Auxiliary complete veterans memorial

After six years of dedicated perseverance, members of the Montevideo American Legion Riders, the SAL and Legion Auxiliary completed construction of their impressive Veterans Memorial Park at the intersections of Minnesota Highway 7 and 17th Street in Montevideo. Dedication ceremonies were held on Veterans Day followed by a community luncheon at Post 59. The memorial represents the tireless efforts of the above mentioned three Legion families and the benevolent support of the Montevideo community. Additional landscaping and small parking area are slated for completion this spring.
