2nd District commander’s July 2024 report

Greetings, 2nd District!

I would like to thank all of the Legionnaires who took time out of their busy schedules to attend the 2nd District Convention! Post 36 did a fantastic job with the hosting duties. I hope to see more posts represented and more Legionnaires at the district mid-winter conference that will be held in Bricelyn and at the district convention next year in Pipestone.

I would also like to thank the Legionnaires of the 2nd District for a wonderful year! I have thoroughly enjoyed visiting many of the posts in the district throughout the year and getting to know Legionnaires that I have not had the opportunity to meet before. We have a lot of work to do as a district. I have confidence that we will get there.

Finally, I would like to sincerely thank the Legionnaires of the 2nd District for having the confidence in me to re-elect me as the 2nd District commander for the coming year. I believe that if you ask any past district commander, they will tell you that one year is not nearly enough time to accomplish the goals that you start out with.

This next year will be busy for the district officers and the district committee chairs. Let’s do everything we can to make it a successful year for the Legionnaires and posts in the Solid Second District!
