9th District Commander’s February 2025 Report

By Steve NaSalle

Happy 2025 New Year Roaring 9th American Legion Family!

I am glad to report that we are meeting our membership goals, but we still have some work to do. Every post in our district has received their perspective 1982 lists, so please reach out to our brothers and sisters, who are not affiliated with a post, and explain to them why it is a wonderful idea to join your post.

In fact, in the past few months, some of our posts have gone the extra mile by transferring two or more members to their post.

Fantastic job to all of you who have succeeded in transferring these members to your post!  In support of your hard work, I would like to make your hard work more interesting.  The post who has the most 1982 transfers, by the time our District Convention has begun, your post will receive an award for your hard work, so keep up the great work.

As we all know, our Mid-Winter Conference went off without a hitch and was very successful. I want to thank our American Legion Family Post 27 in Warren for your hard work and dedication for our success.

In addition, I would like to announce my candidacy for our 6th and 9th Districts next department vice commander for the 2025-26 Legion year. I truly appreciate everyone’s support.

Remember your buddy checks, especially during the holiday season. Sometimes a quick visit or a hello makes all the difference in the world to our veterans who may be alone during the holidays. God Bless you all!
