8th District Commander’s February 2025 Report

On behalf of 8th District Commander Philip Bodle, greetings to all American Legion members from the District of the Lakes & Pines! Hopefully you had a very blessed holiday season.

The 8th District Mid-Winter Conference is Saturday, Jan. 25, at West Duluth Post 71, 5814 Grand Ave., in Duluth. Please contact our district commander, adjutant or one of the four vice commanders, if you have any questions or an issue you’d like brought up relating to The American Legion!

The Legislative Social was Jan. 8 in St. Paul at Mancini’s Char House. Thanks go to Kristy Janigo, our America Legion legislative chairwoman and 10th District commander, for putting that together!

It was a chance for Legionnaires to meet with lawmakers and learn about the American Legion Legislative Priorities that veterans hope will get passed at the Capitol in 2025!

Roger is a veteran. Another representative I spoke with is ret. Air Force Col. Tom Sexton. Tom is in his first term and is very concerned with veteran suicides!
