7th District Commander’s October 2024 Report

Hello from the 7th District!

The new membership year is in full swing, and many posts are having their membership dinners and renewing their memberships. The 7th District is moving along and has reached the 50 percent goal by Sept. 11, 2024, set by national, so I would like to congratulate the 7th District for achieving that goal.

I would also like to remind everyone that Department Fall Conference is coming up on Oct. 25-26, at St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center, and would like to see all of you there. The conference will have breakout sessions that everyone can go to and learn different things to assist them at their local post.

It is also a great time to meet other Legion members from around the state and learn from them what is working or not working in their area in growing and keeping The American Legion a great organization serving the veterans of this great nation.

I would also like to invite all of you to come and hear the 2024-2025 National Auxiliary President Trish Ward, she will be speaking Thursday, Oct. 24 at 6:30pm in the main auditorium of the convention center. I will be attending this presentation to support the Legion Auxiliary because without them I don’t think I could accomplish many of the things that I do for the Legion.
