7th District Commander’s May 2025 Report

Greetings from the 7th District.
I think I can finally say that spring has come to the 7th District, and it is now time to start sending all those forms into the department and to the committee chairmen for the year.
The 7th District has now hit the 90 percent mark for membership and continues to get more veterans signed up with the Legion. Now is the time of the year that all the districts in Minnesota are planning to hold their district convention and elect new leadership for the upcoming year. The 7th District had planned on having our district convention in Echo this year but due to some scheduling issues we had to move it to Elbow Lake and will be hosted by Argonne Forrest Post 278, Brandon.
Our convention will still be on May 17. I would like to also tell everyone that the 7th Districts Junior Shooting Program is going well and growing. The 7th District does only have one team that is supported by Brandon Post 278, and they have participated in the Minnesota American Legion State Match last month and did well considering it was their first match ever. We should see good things out of them next year.
