2nd District commander’s January 2024 report

As we bring in 2024, I would like to thank every Legionnaire for their hard work so far. We have work to do as far as membership is concerned. If you have not heard, the 6th District has challenged the 2nd District to a membership competition.

Whichever district has the largest percentage increase from Jan. 1 to the Sweetheart Rally in February will win. The commander of the losing district has to buy a steak dinner for the officers of the winning district.

I know that you will all do what you can to get those memberships in in the next month and a half. Do everything you can to save me a few bucks! Shake the trees and rattle the bushes. Find those Legionnaires however you can!

I hope to see you all in Brewster for the Mid-Winter Conference Feb. 9-10. The District Executive Board meeting will be on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. and the conference will kick off at 9 a.m. on Feb. 10. We have a lot of good training and information for the Legionnaires of the 2nd District. You will be missing out if you are not there!
